Doctrinal Statement for
Clarence Walker Ministries

1. We Believe that all scripture is given by the inspiration of God by which holy men of God were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of scripture. (II Tim. 3:16; II Pet. 1:21)

2. We Believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and that these three are on God. (Matt. 28:18-20)

3. We Believe that the new birth of the believers comes only through faith in Christ and that repentance is a vital part of believing. (Eph. 2:8; St. Jn. 1:12; Rom. 10:9)

4. We Believe that all who are united to the risen and ascended Son of God are members of the church which is the body of Christ and having become members are under solemn duty to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace rising above all denominational difference. (Rom. 12:5; I Cor. 12:22; Eph. 1:20-23; Eph. 4:3-10)

5. We Believe in the literal bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ who is now ascended at the right hand of the Father. (I Cor. 15:21; I Thess. 4:14)

6. We Believe in the deity and the holy virgin birth of Jesus Christ. (St. Jn. 1:1; Phil. 2:6; St. Jn. 20:28; Lk. 2:16, 17)

7. We Believe in the eminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ as he went, in person on the clouds of heaven, and with power and great glory. (Rom. 8:19; I Tim. 4:1-3; Rev. 20:1-3)

8. We Believe in the great commission plan of evangelism, discipleship and missions. (Mt. 28:18-20; Acts 1:8)

9. We Believe that divine gifts of service are bestowed by the Spirit upon all who believe and are saved. (Rom 12:6-8; I Cor. 12:4-11)

10. We Believe in the new testament pattern of Christian community, where believers show special care and sharing for one another. (Acts 2:44-47; Rom. 12:4-16; Col. 3:12-16)

11. We Believe in God’s concern for the total person and that it is His will that this be demonstrated in ministry. (I Thess. 5:23; III Jn. 2; Lk. 2:52)

12. We Believe that the bible is the basis for principles of practical living and not merely book of doctrine or religious laws. (St. Jn. 6:63; Ps. 119:105; Phil. 2:16)

13. We Believe in the sanctity of the family and marriage as ordained by God. (Gen. 2:24; Mt. 19:4-9; I Cor. 7; Eph. 5:21-33)

14. We Believe in the roles of husbands and wives as ordained by God. (Eph. 5:21; I Pet. 3:1-7; I Cor. 7:3-6)

15. We Believe that Christ came to minister to the lost, the downtrodden, the broken hearted, and to those who hurt, to the intent of making them whole. (Lk. 4:17-18; St. Jn. 7:23)
